Q. Where can I find a Lyme literate Doctor?
A. There are not many Lyme literate doctors accepting new patients at this time. You need to educate your doctor. This website contains information you need to help you do that. It is very helpful to come to support meetings and find out what others are doing. You can email us or call the hotline to see if we are aware of any doctors in your area.
Q. Where and when are the support group meetings?
A. We meet on the 4th Thursday (not necessarily the last Thursday) of the month January to October at the community room at St Joseph Hospital. Check the pull down menu under “Home” for a map.

Is there a charge? No
What is the function of a support meeting? We have guest speakers whenever possible.
We discuss concerns of those attending, what is working/not working and new ideas.
Q. How can I sign up for the newsletter?
A. Newsletter Archives can be found under Shopping and Free downloads.
Q. How can I get announcements for upcoming events?
A. Upcoming events are in the newsletters and can be found by liking our Facebook page.
Q. Is the newsletter free?
A. The newsletter is accessible online at no charge. We do request a $30 per year donation for membership dues to support education efforts to keep our organization going.
Q. Do you give my information to any other organization?
A. We do not share your personal information with any other organizations
Q. What is the purpose of the Ladies Luncheon? Social? Educational?
A. It is social as well as educational.
Q. When and where does the Ladies Luncheon meet?
A. Ladies lunch is the first Thursday of the month 12:30 PM at the Olive Garden at 6750 W 95th Street in Overland Park. NOTE: the date is changed occasionally- if the school districts close for weather we postpone for a week.
Q. Can I bring a friend to Ladies Luncheon?
A. Anyone is welcome. RSVP’s are appreciated so that we know how big a table to reserve.
Q. How much does Ladies Luncheon cost?
A. The only cost is whatever you order for lunch.

Q. Do you have printed information and how much does it cost?
A. LAGKC strives to be as green as possible, so instead of printed materials, we provide all of our material on our website, or you can order a thumb drive with all of our current materials loaded onto it. Multiples of informational thumb drives are $3.50 each. They contain the information on this website.
Q. What volunteer opportunities are available?
A. Passing out literature, becoming an educator at scheduled doctor conferences and community events. Ask about attending a conference for training.
Q. What is the membership fee?
A. Dues are $30.00 per year.
Q. What are my dues used for?
A. Registration for Conferences (they range from $200 to $1500. per year. We usually participate in 15 or more conferences a year), Hotline, printing, government fees. NOTE: We have no paid staff. All board members are volunteers. We have no offices.
